A lot of them are the real deal, some are set up by their publicists, and most are fan pages (but they normally say so).

Celebrities aren't immune to the addicting phenomenon that is MySpace and another way to boost their ego and morale, not to mention bonus box-office points w/ the fans...

Some celebs have official myspace pages when they make announcements and stuff. However its usually their publicist that is making them. I'm sure younger celebs have personal myspaces, they just make sure they only invite friends and that others don't know who they are when passing by the avatar.

Iam not sure if these r the real stars profile or not i have found Luca Toni's my space before but i doubt it is his although it is written in Italian and contains some personal photos 4 him but there was a mistake in it as his status was married and what i know about him is that he is engaged not married that what made me doubt that it is the real Luca TOni

Referring to the David Beckham MySpace, I doubt that it's really David Beckham. Not that stars can't make grammatical errors, but there are plenty of them on his MySpace. Also, many stars use their name or band name (if it's a band's MySpace) as their url, like www.myspace.com/vanessahudgens (for example, by the way, that's her real myspace, it's on the back of her cd cover and she's said that that was her myspace in many interviews and magazines). Usually, stars will mention it in real life at least once or twice, in interviews, etc. Now, David Beckham's "friends" that are shown as his buddies on his MySpace could just have MySpaces that are as well made by the same person who's posing as David Beckham. Many people who pose as stars on MySpace are not caught. Generally, if stars do not have a MySpace, they will let the public know. Like on Zac Efron's website, it says that neither him or his brother have a MySpace, so it clarifies that they don't. All of this also goes for other sites like MySpace, like piczos, bebos, blogs from other sites. You should always be very careful before giving out your personal information to these "stars" if you want to have them write to you or send an autograph, etc., because in doing this, it can put you and your family in danger. Always be safe on the internet because yes, there are kind people out there with no intentions of hurting anyone like yourself, but there are also the pervs and such others who use the internet to harm others. Hope this helps =).
