I want to know how to make happy faces, stars

I don't need hearts and spades and clubs, etc. I know those. I just want the happy face and star code to use on a laptop(so no alt+2)

I tried 閳?(%26amp; #9733;)but it didn't work on myspace although the other ones work...help!

You can't use the extended characters on Myspace because the codes do not process.

You CAN, however, copy/paste the character directly, which is a lot easier anyway.
