how do you make hearts and stars in your font?

Go to Microsoft word, then go to Insert, Symbol..., then choose the font "Symbol" and choose a love heart or any. Then just copy and paste. Or a hot key press Alt3 閳绢櫖or a love heart閳? The hot keys must be for the numbers on the right side of your keyboard.
